Netflix Casts Ideal Star for Bentham in One Piece Third Season

The Secret Organization is poised to make a major impact in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, although the true confrontation won’t unfold until the next season, and a beloved, fan-favorite member has just been cast.

Netflix announced Tuesday that the talented performer will appear in the One Piece season 3 cast and will portray Mr. 2. The role possesses the power to change into an identical duplicate of any person they’ve laid a hand on with their main hand. The actor, who is identifies as non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will depict a rendition of that role reinterpreted as non-binary identifying, instead of as a drag performer, in the live-action series, differing from the original manga and animated series.

The new cast member joins a number of recently announced actors set to bring the group to life, such as chief the main antagonist, brought to life by Joe Manganiello, a talented actress as another operative, and a familiar face, who is also part of the lineup as the monarch of the fictional land.

Even though this character is a key figure of the group, the individual won’t make their debut One Piece the third season. Given the second season likely to portray the Little Garden segment, this represents a notable change in the schedule of the character’s debut, one that could suggest more adjustments to the narrative framework.

The actor’s combination of sharp comedic timing and emotional depth makes them a standout choice for the part. In addition to their latest vocal work in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and numerous honors for penning and acting in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, emphasizing the adaptability they’ll add to one of One Piece’s most celebrated characters.

The platform’s adapted One Piece program is scheduled to come back for its season two on March 10th, 2026.
